More about our pastors:
We welcome Pastor Bob and Doris Haslam to our church family. Rev. Dr. Robert Haslam, affectionately known as Pastor Bob for short, transferred his credentials to the Evangelical Congregational Denomination and served Bethany as Interim Pastor from August 31, 2014 through May 31, 2015. We have been blessed to have him serve as our permanent full-time pastor since June 1, 2015.
Pastor Bob and his wife, Doris, were married at Lehigh Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 25, 1966. They have two children, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Pastor Bob was ordained at Lehigh Baptist Church on May 5, 1972. Over the past 43 years, he has served as Pastor of Conservative Baptist Congregations in New Jersey, Colorado, and Illinois. He is also former Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Reverend Nelson Shertzer serves as the Associate Pastor for Bethany EC Church. He was born and raised on a Manor Township farm with his parents and three brothers. Nelson enjoys being active which currently includes riding horses, playing ice hockey, and riding Harley with his wife of 40 years.

Pastor Nelson and Kim have four children, and are blessed to be called "Grampie" and "Grammie" by 10 grandchildren. After being involved in business for over 30 years God revealed a shift in His plans for Nelson with a call to ministry at Bethany in 2024. Driven by a love for God's Word and desire to see people grow in their faith he has enthusiastically embraced this call for the second half of his life.
